Joan Watson

Joan Watson is known to many Canadians as the originator and host of CBC's highly popular Marketplace, a consumer-advocacy program. After a rich career in broadcasting, she chaired a task force on health care. She started Gaurdian Angels, a Canada-wide program through which seniors knit bonnets and booties for premature babies. Joan is a member of the board of trustees at Ross Farm Museum.



Murray Creed

Murray Creed had a long career in agricultural writing and broadcasting. He was a farm commentator for CBC Radio and a series producer-director for CBC in Toronto, where his shows included Country Canada, This Land, and Marketplace. An avid researcher, he lives with his wife, Joan Watson, in Halifax.
