Georges Arsenault
Georges Arsenault is an historian and ethnologist. He has published extensively in French on the Acadian history and culture of Prince Edward Island. Many of his works have been translated, including The Island Acadians, The Acadians of Summerside, Acadian Christmas Traditions, Acadian Traditions on Candlemas Day, and Acadian Mi-Carême ? Masks and Merrymaking. Since 2009, he has been writing a weekly column in La Voix Acadienne on images of the past.

Jacinthe Laforest
Jacinthe Laforest has been the editor and principal journalist of the Acadian weekly newspaper La Voix Acadienne since 1988. Over the past three decades she has interviewed hundreds of Island Acadians. She is the author of the official French version of the Acadian national hymn Ave Maris Stella. She has contributed to a number of publications, including the souvenir book on the Bicentenary of Tignish.
