Josephine Watson is a poet, singer and actor from Fredericton, NB. From jazz to blues, rock to reggae, spoken word poetry to theatre, Josephine is a great performer. She was the first woman to be named Moncton's "poète flyée" (eccentric poet). After translating the book Africvillle (written by Shauntay Grant and illustrated by Eva Campbell) in 2020 and guiding many young people through it, she delivers this magnificent text, which comes from her personal history.

Alisa Arsenault is a visual artist with degrees in printmaking and photography from the Université de Moncton. She has exhibited in Acadie and Québec, and represented her province at the Jeux de la Francophonie (Francophone Games) in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, as a media artist. Maman m'a donnée is her second illustrated album, in which her great sensitivity is expressed with even more delicacy.
