Tim Beatty was born in Labrador City, Newfoundland and raised in Albert County, New Brunswick. He received his B.Sc. from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and was employed as Sunbury Shores Naturalist for 5 years in St. Andrews, New Brunswick.
