I’ll Be With You in a Moment is a bittersweet and darkly funny coming-of-age story about the strange power of friendship and the fear of being seen. What happens when time stands still? Eventually it has to start again, and then it goes all too fast. 

Owen is sixteen, nervous as a baseline, and he’s never in his life had a close friend. The only thing more pitiful than his frequent nosebleeds is that he has learned to time them perfectly. Of course, no one has a better grasp on time-management than Beth Callahan. She’s enigmatic, self-possessed, and armed with the uncanny ability to stop the world spinning with a wink of her eye. When she decides to fix her powerful gaze on Owen, everything about his life in the background begins to change. What ensues is a series of disorienting, tender, and quietly magical encounters that leave Owen questioning what’s real, what’s right, and what he’s actually capable of. 

Meanwhile, a more conventional magic is being thrust upon Owen as he ingratiates himself with a local church youth group. Look, it’s an opportunity to make friends. He can hardly pass it up over silly technicalities like… whether or not he believes in God.
