Dust of the Sun

  Author:   Edith Pahlke
  Publisher:  Nevermore Press

Dust of the Sun, taking its name from a translated line of poetry found among the many works herein, documents the extraordinary linocuts of artist Edith Pahlke.

With language and letterforms as her muse, Pahlke designed and meticulously cut this work in the 1960s and ’70s, printing much of it in her makeshift kitchen studio. Feeling simultaneously of its time and place and of the present day, Palhke’s multiples and monoprints have gone mostly without formal recognition for decades, but are sure to find a home in the hearts of printmakers and graphic artists alike.
