Description
In her small town of Kentville, Nova Scotia, eleven-year-old Ada Boudreau has signed up for a youth changemaker contest. Her idea? Create a food bank for pets so families never have to choose between feeding themselves or their beloved animals. She thinks this could be her chance to make a difference, and maybe get a shot at the spotlight, too! But when Zephyr, the new kid in town and a fellow contestant, starts outshining Ada at every turn, her big-hearted idea starts to feel small. Between worries about her own empty cupboards, some big changes at home, and a string of suspicious contest mishaps, Ada’s life starts to feel like it’s spiralling out of control, and she begins to wonder what matters more?winning or helping others?
