We are currently looking for a Full-Time Bookkeeper/ Office Administrator!

If so, this job might be right for you! Nimbus Publishing & Vagrant Press is currently looking to add a Full-Time Bookkeeper/Office Administrator to our small team.
Nimbus Publishing is Atlantic Canada’s largest English-language publisher. Nimbus produces approximately fifty new print books a year (as well as ebooks and audiobooks) on a range of subjects relevant to the Atlantic Provinces— children’s picture books and fiction, literary non-fiction, social and cultural history, nature photography, current events, biography, sports, and cultural issues. Nimbus also does distribution for numerous Atlantic publishers, making the company the biggest book distributor on the east coast of Canada. Nimbus is located in the north end of Halifax.
Ideally, the candidate will have previous bookkeeping and office admin experience.Duties Include:
- General bookkeeping data entry
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Accounts receivable and Accounts payables
- Payroll & other CRA correspondence
- Data entry
- Answering phones and other administrative duties
Preference will be given to those with:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting
- Experience with accounting software
- 2-3 Years previous experience in an accounting role
The candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented. Must be able to work and learn independently and able to problem-solve quickly. Candidate must also have strong time-management skills to meet deadlines.
