Jenene Wooldridge is the daughter of former Mi?kmaq Chief James (Jim) and Carolyn Sark. Jenene comes from a long line of leaders including hereditary and elected Chiefs. Her great grandfather, former Chief John Thomas Sark was also a hereditary Mi'kmaq Chief and from the Peju clan on Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island). Jenene has worked in senior management positions for First Nation communities and organizations over the past decade and is committed to ongoing personal and professional development. She is the owner of Segewa't Consulting and in 2020 was appointed to the Renew PEI: Premier's Council for Growth and Recovery. Jenene was recognized as one of the top 25 Powerful Women in Business 2021, Atlantic Business Magazine, and most recently obtained the Institute of Corporate Director designation through the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management. Jenene lives with her husband and two children in her ancestral home of Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island), territory of the Mi'kmaq, and part of Mi'kma'ki.
