When the Ocean Came to Town by Sal Sawler and Emma FitzGerald is one of 6 Canadian picture books in the running to be a CBC Kids Reads champion.
The six picture books in the running will be celebrated up until the full-length CBC Kids Reads special, airing on March 7th at 8:10 am local time. Kids across Canada will weigh in on which book should be named the 2024 Kids Reads champion.
