Jim Meek is an award-winning writer and journalist whose work has appeared in the Halifax Chronicle Herald, Canadian Business, the Globe and Mail, Nieman Reports, Canadian Geographic, Progress, and several other publications. Based in Halifax, Meek was co-author of Offshore Dream, a History of Nova Scotia’s Oil and Gas Industry. He was awarded a Nieman fellowship by Harvard University and was a recipient of the Hyman Solomon Award, which recognizes excellence in Canadian public policy journalism.
