Anthony Sherwood is an award-winning actor/director/producer/playwright who has worked extensively in film, television and stage for the past 35 years. He was born in Halifax and is a fifth-generation African Nova Scotian. Anthony was raised in Montreal and music has always played a strong role in his life. His aunt, Portia White, was Canada’s first famous black opera singer. His passion is telling stories from the African-Canadian experience. His accolades include the Gemini Award, Martin Luther King Achievement Award, Brampton Arts Acclaim Award, African-Canadian Achievement Award, Planet Africa Award and the Harry Jerome Award. Music In The Dark is his first novel.
