Omar Al-Hafidh is a Toronto based illustrator, originally from Baghdad, Irak. He graduated with high honours from Sheridan College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Applied Arts (animation). Growing up, drawing was always an essential tool for his self-expression and his identity. Most of his paintings offer glimpses of his childhood and imagination. As a child, he also wanted to be a secret agent like James Bond and so gave himself a secret agent number (206). Al-Hafidh’s work has been recognized and published in the Middle East and he?s previously illustrated two books, Through a Mud Wall Million and Star Hotel, by Rana Azzoubi.
