Ronald Caplan

Ronald Caplan was the editor of Cape Breton's Magazine from 1972 through 1999, and from 1986 on he has published Breton Books. For his contributions to community and culture of Cape Breton Island, he has received several awards including the Order of Canada, Nova Scotia's Cultural Life Award, and an honourary degree from Cape Breton University, where the Ronald Caplan Scholarship has now been established.
