You’re invited to the re-launch of The Pregnant Pause, a humorous work of fiction by Jane Doucet.
The Pregnant Pause follows a woman in her mid-thirties on the roller-coaster ride as she journeys through the potential pitfalls and prospects of parenting—a journey that will be familiar to many women as they listen to their biological clock ticking away. In 2018, Jane’s debut novel was nominated for a Whistler Independent Book Award. Vagrant Press has rereleased it with a fresh new cover and brought it back into print.
In 2021, Vagrant published Jane’s second novel, Fishnets & Fantasies. Jane’s third novel, Lost & Found in Lunenburg, to be published in fall 2023, combines characters from her first two novels.
The event will include an author talk, refreshments and books for sale and signing.
